Part-time job at Jimmy Johns, delivery/line worker. It was great exercise and helped me get comfortable with campus very fast. I thought it would be good passive income, but I didn't sign up for shifts past christmas; it wasn't worth it.

My boss informed me of a problem. The customer service was lacking and we were recieving poor reviews. I wanted to find a way to fix this problem; so I took it as my personal mission to bolster our reviews. I started talking to people more and developed an interest in quality customer service. We went from a 3.9 to a 4.7 with the addition of 300+ reviews in a few months. The greatest feat, the standard was only improved since my efforts.

I am faced with a serious choice. Döner Dudes is interfering with my school priorities. I helped them grow as they established themselves on ASU Campus. They offered me a full-time salary position and a stake, for my commitment to the business. After a difficult decision, I rejected their offer, so I may continue pursuing my education.

This was my first ever "5 person" class. There were 2 professors and 6 students, of which one later dropped. Being in an environment where I could casually talk to my professors, expanded my perspective. I began to explore the concept of a Digital Reality, and found my passion for programming.

Now the pandemic truly came in full swing. I had applied to a few places, but did not have much luck. I picked up Postmates, DoorDash, UberEats, and learned how to juggle the three simeltaneously. I made some great income, spent money on my car, and worked on my projects. As an "independent contractor", the most valuable lesson I learned this summer was how to document information, purchases, and deductibles for tax season.
